Responsibilities:

  • Perform system administration (Window / Linux / Unix) including system setup and configuration, installation, patching, and system monitoring

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computing related discipline
  • With experience in Windows / Linux system Installation or Administration have advantage
  • Knowledge in technical infrastructure environment and system architectural design
  • Holder of Microsoft, Linux, Unix, Networking ... etc. certification are preferred

System Engineer / Senior System Engineer (Windows/Linux)

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for day-to-day administration and support of a mission critical mega-scale system comprising network and platform infrastructure, including Linux and Windows servers, client terminals and peripherals;
  • Monitor systems connectivity, performance and security control;
  • Assist in system documentation and preparation of reports;
  • Responsible for monitoring and reviewing infrastructure components;
  • Perform system / network support (Desktop, Server, OS, Networking);
  • Handle hardware and software upgrade and replacement;
  • Provide 7x24 on-call support in rotating shifts and perform shift duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or above in Information Technology or related disciplines;
  • More than 1 year of relevant experience in supporting MS Windows / Linux servers (candidates with less experience will be considered as System Engineer);
  • Familiar with VMware ESXi and Microsoft Operating Systems is a plus;
  • Good command of both written and spoken English & Chinese (Cantonese);
  • Self-motivated, responsible, able to work independently and able to work under pressure;
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

System Engineer / Senior System Engineer 

Responsible for the technical support of system infrastructure related areas such as network, database, server platform, storage device, IT monitoring, client terminals and peripherals, etc. on a mission critical mega-scale system.

Core duties including :

  • Prepare requirement specifications of IT solutions and scenarios/cases for testing;
  • Maintain system documentations and reports;
  • Provide proficient configuration, installation, testing, technical operational or user support on system hardware, software or services;
  • Monitor systems connectivity, performance and security control;
  • Implement technical infrastructure enhancements.
  • Document system changes and enhancement;
  • Perform operation fault analysis and provide recommendations to improve the overall production system;
  • Keep infrastructure up-to-date through technology refresh of both hardware and software.

 Requirements:

  • Experience in the mixed OS platform and technical support : IBM AIX (or Oracle Solaris), Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Microsoft Windows is a plus;
  • Knowledge in Middleware software : PowerHA, DB2, WebSphere Application Server (WAS), MQ, Familiar with IBM Data Replication is a plus
  • Experience / knowledge in Virtualization : vSphere vCenter, ESXi, SRM
  • Knowledge in Encryption Appliances (e.g. Bloombase Storesafe & Keycastle), Automation / system monitoring / security tools as well as backup solutions such as Tivoli related tools is preferable
  • Experience in maintenance of IBM Power servers and System Storage is advantageous
  • Skilled in writing scripts for automating maintenance or optimization;
  • Certified in Linux, AIX, PowerHA or VMware is an definite advantage.

Others:

  • Certificate / Diploma in Information Technology or related disciplines;
  • Working experience in data centre operation or technical support is preferred;
  • 7x24 on-roster support is required;
  • 3 - 5 years' relevant experience in IT or Support field (candidates with less experience will be considered as System Engineer);
  • Good command of both written and spoken English & Chinese (Cantonese);
  • Self-motivated, responsible, able to work independently;
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Ability to develop cohesive working relationships with internal or external stakeholder.

Database Administrator (Infrastructure)

Responsibilities:

  • To maintain the database availability;
  • To setup / configure / migration the database;
  • To collect the business requirement from customer;

Requirements:

  • Higher Diploma in information technology, computer science or related disciplines;
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in information technology with at least 1 year in database operation, preferably in IBM DB2 database but not a must;
  • Knowledge in structured query language (SQL);
  • Exposure in Window, Unix, Linux operating system is a plus;
  • Self-motivated and enjoy working in a dynamic environment to meet tight deadlines;
  • Good interpersonal and communication skill;
  • Good command of spoken and written Chinese (Cantonese) and English.
